I am a Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner, licensed acupuncturist and herbal medicine practitioner. I obtained my Masters in Oriental Medicine Degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University, where I graduated magna cm laude. I am licensed in Acupuncture by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice and hold a Diplomate in Acupuncture through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). I interned at several locations throughout my time at Northwestern Health Sciences University including the Aliveness Project, Courage Center Stroke and Rehabilitation Center, Pillsbury House, Edith Davis Teaching Clinic, University of Minnesota Medical Center, and I worked with the Penny George Institute for Health and Healing Inpatient Care at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Prior to my studies in Acupuncture, I attended Central Lakes College where I received my Associates of Arts Degree, and St. Cloud State University where I worked towards my Nursing degree. I treat a wide range of medical conditions in my practice of acupuncture, however, my main specialty lies in the treatment of digestive disorders and mental health and wellness. Much of my practice is based on the treatment of anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, healthy digestive function, allergies, and chronic fatigue. I also have a focus on women’s health, pain management, smoking cessation and general wellness/ balancing treatments. I have taken training in QiGong under Master Chunyi Lin of Spring Forest QiGong and I utilize this skill frequently in both personal and patient care to help bring balance to the body and as a stress-relieving exercise. I also use cupping therapy, moxabustion, food therapy, and Chinese medical massage with my patients. I have also taken personalized training for facial rejuvenation and cosmetic acupuncture treatments and recently obtained Certification through Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture for the treatment of cosmetic acupuncture, weight loss and fertility. I love helping my patients feel and look their very best by using a holistic and natural approach to their healthcare.
