Meet Maggie Harris, APRN! 🩺

Maggie is one of our dedicated nurse practitioners specializing in obstetrics. Her passion for women’s health started early and grew even stronger during her clinical rotations—where she knew she had found her calling.

Maggie graduated from the University of Louisville with her undergraduate degree and later earned her master's from Duke University. When she’s not supporting moms-to-be, you’ll find her trail running, traveling, or spending time with her husband and two little ones.

It's important to talk to your healthcare provider about when to come to the hospital, as it may vary based on your individual situation. 🏥👩🏻‍⚕️

Some signs that labor may be starting include consistent contractions, water breaking, and cervical dilation. Remember to have your hospital bag packed and plan ahead to reduce stress. Wishing you a safe and smooth delivery! 🤰🏻🙏🏻💕

Did you know? The risk of an IUD migrating through the wall of the uterus is extremely rare—only about 0.1%.

At Women First, we take every precaution to minimize that already rare risk. Our providers measure the uterus prior to placement, confirm length and placement with ultrasound, and follow additional safety steps to ensure your IUD is positioned correctly.

Learn more about our IUD options by visiting our website: https://wfoflou.com/hormonal-birth-control/
