Yesterday, I worked at St Matthews First Annual Holiday Market, at the John Ford Community Center. Cindy Haigler, a city government employee, worked tirelessly to invite local vendors and food trucks, greeted everyone at the door, and circulated the room all day to ensure that everything went smoothly. Karen Stokes, of Karen’s Accessories, made my day by surprising me with a thoughtful gift. Vicki Vicky Kemmerlin Kemp Parker, of Tupperware by Vicki, saved my back in the morning by loaning me her cart to take my equipment to my booth. In the afternoon, when all I was thinking about was loading up and going home (to catch the Christmas parade), Vicki’s husband noticed that I had a low tire. Vicki to the rescue again, as she had a portable air compressor which her husband used to fix my tire! The event was well attended. It was wonderful to see neighbors, friends, and CCHS alumni. Thank you to everyone, from Mr Benjamin who opened up the building for us, the custodians who kept the facility immaculate, to all who played a part in making yesterday a memorable event. A blessed holiday season to all!
