Aromatherapy works best beside care, not instead of it.

Essential oils can support comfort, relaxation, and wellbeing. They do not replace diagnosis, treatment, or follow-ups with your healthcare provider.

Think of it as partnership care. Science, medicine, and aromatherapy can coexist, and your body benefits when they do.

What does supportive care look like in your routine?

Happy World Wildlife Day!

Don't miss this free public webinar hosted by the Airmid Institute.

Airmid Institute’s Ambassador of Slovenia, Ana Ličina, is dedicated to protecting medicinal and aromatic plants, and highlights ‘Tilia platyphyllos’ Scop. known by its common names, the large-leaved lime, large-leaved linden, and in Slovene, LIPA.

“Linden tree is a sacred tree for Slovene people. Linden trees are often planted in the center of Slovenian villages or towns, they grow next to castles, houses, churches, on squares and hills. We have many very old linden trees, some are supposed to be around 700 years old. Numerous poems have been written in honor of the linden tree, and it is also said to ward off misfortune. Linden tree flowers are used for resistance, blood purification and sweating.

Linden trees used to be an important meeting place for entire village communities, in their shade hot heads could cool down, talk and find solutions to problems. And that is exactly why I chose linden tree: because humanity right now needs to calm down, take a deep breath and find constructive solutions.”

Thank you Ana Li Chi! 💚

Medicinal and aromatic plant conservation is so very important!

Airmid Institute Celebrates World Wildlife Day 2026 🌿💚

Airmid Institute, whose mission is to protect medicinal and aromatic plants and their use in traditional medicine for future generations, is excited to celebrate World Wildlife Day 2026 on March 3.

The 2026 theme, “Medicinal and Aromatic Plants: Conserving Health, Heritage and Livelihoods,” shines a spotlight on the plants that sustain human health, traditional ecological knowledge, and ecological balance.

These are the very plants at the heart of aromatherapy and perfumery (e.g. frankincense, myrrh, spikenard, vanilla, agarwood, rose, lavender, and citrus) used daily for healing, ritual, wellbeing, and beauty across the globe.

Medicinal and aromatic plants support ecosystems, pollinators, soils, and livelihoods worldwide, yet many face growing threats from habitat loss, overharvesting, climate change, and illegal trade. More than 20% of plant species used medicinally are now considered threatened, underscoring the urgent need for conservation, ethical sourcing, and respect for Indigenous and local knowledge.

World Wildlife Day reminds us that protecting wildlife includes protecting plants, which are the foundation of traditional medicine, modern healthcare, and botanical industries.
In honor of World Wildlife Day 2026, Airmid Institute will be hosting a special event dedicated to medicinal and aromatic plant conservation!

Stay tuned for more details, and join us in celebrating, learning, and advocating for medicinal and aromatic plants!

If you Google the famous Paracelsus quote, you will find several different translations . . .

“What is there that is not poison? All things are poison and nothing is without poison. Solely the dose determines that a thing is not a poison.”

“All things are poison, and nothing is without poison; only the dose permits something not to be poisonous.”

"All things are poisons, for there is nothing without poisonous qualities. It is only the dose which makes a thing poison."

"Poison is in everything, and no thing is without poison. The dosage makes it either a poison or a remedy."

"All things are poisons. It is simply the dose that distinguishes between a poison and a remedy."

It all comes down to:
The dose makes the poison.

Even water is toxic in too high of a dose.

Please remember that just because something is natural, doesn't make it safe. Also, just because you hear something is toxic or poisonous, doesn't mean that some things can not be beneficial, sometimes even necessary, in proper doses.

Always get your information from reputable sources and never stop learning!
