๐ 2025 Year in Review ๐
Howard County Medical Center celebrated a year of growth, community connection, and compassionate care. Here are just a few highlights that made 2025 unforgettable:
โ January
We kicked off the year by welcoming students for job shadowing experiences, helping inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals.
๐ February
HCMC was named one of the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals by Chartis. We also hosted the Closer to Home Tour with John Cook and launched our Show Your Heart & From Our Hearts to Yours campaigns.
๐ March
The HCMC Auxiliary generously donated a ball pit cleaner for the pediatric therapy gym and new couches for the mental health department. Laura Pedersen, OT, was honored with the Outstanding Employee Award at the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce Banquet.
โ April
We were named runner-up in Live On Nebraskaโs Butterfly Project, with prize funds donated to the Jenni Klanecky Scholarship Fund. Our team also partnered with the St. Paul 2nd grade class for a Donate Life Month coloring activity to raise awareness of organ and tissue donation.
๐ May
From Go Big Give and our first DAISY Award to our Helpful Human and Vital Volunteer recognitions, May was filled with gratitude. The Greeley Clinic received a facelift and the Wellness Center donor wall was installed.
๐ June
We named the Employee of the Year, celebrated our 70th anniversary with a community BBQ, and supported Summer Rec programs for area youth.
๐ July
Our team participated in GCA Days, served Lunch Bunch, and celebrated the arrival of our new MRI machine.
โณ August
We enjoyed a successful annual Golf Tournament thanks to our generous participants and sponsors.
๐ September
Friendly competition brought our staff together for the Employee Sand Volleyball Tournament and Glow Golf.
๐ October
We honored Breast Cancer Awareness Month, hosted the Jack O'Lantern Jog, and welcomed local preschools/daycares for Trick-or-Treating.
๐ฆ November
Tea & Talk: A Women's Health Event was held, we earned Platinum Recognition in the national DoNation campaign through HRSA, and donated 70 hams to support local families.
๐ December
We wrapped up the year with our Holiday Basket Silent Auction and welcomed the St. Paul Health Careers Class for a Radiology tour.
