When life events feel unpredictable or threatening, the nervous system often shifts into survival mode.

You might notice increased anxiety, hyper-vigilance, sleep disruption, irritability, emotional numbness, or difficulty concentrating... current stressors may feel particularly activating.

These reactions are not signs of weakness. They are a natural, self-protective, response to stress.

Read more on our latest blog post, for practicul tips to regain grounding, holding different perspectives with respect, and community resources for legal guidance, advocacy opportunities, or rights education in Minnesota, that are locally active.

And a few questions you can ask yourself, to start exploring one's relationship with alcohol (or anything really!) with curiosity and compassion.

The beginning of a new year organically invites us to reflect on what’s been working in our lives and what may no longer serve us in ways it once did. We may feel motivated to take inventory of our emotional landscapes, noticing what contributes to steadiness and what makes things feel more turbul...
