What does the Center for Memory & Aging do?
We provide care within HealthPartners for individuals experiencing memory loss, dementia, and age‑related cognitive changes. Our team includes specialists in neurology, neuropsychology, social work, research, and care coordination — all working together to support patients and families.
CLINIC SIDE
Who can be seen in the clinic?
Adults with memory concerns, cognitive changes, or diagnosed conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, mild cognitive impairment, primary progressive aphasia (PPA), and other neurodegenerative disorders.
What services are offered?

Do I need a referral?
Most patients do, but our team can help guide you through the process.

RESEARCH Clinic
Do we only conduct Alzheimer's Dementia Research?
No. We conduct and support clinical research across a range of central nervous system (CNS) disorders, including:
- Myasthenia gravis
- Parkinson’s disease (PD)
- Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease
- Primary progressive aphasia (PPA)
- Spinal cord injury (SCI)
- Traumatic brain injury (TBI)
Where does research take place?
Most studies are coordinated through the Neuroscience Center in St. Paul, with some studies at the Struther's Parkinson's Center in Golden Valley.
Who can participate in research?
Opportunities vary by study, but many are open to individuals with specific diagnoses, caregivers, or healthy volunteers. Participation helps advance understanding and improve future care.
Do I need to be a HealthPartners Patient to Participate in Research?
Nope! As long as you otherwise qualify for the study, you do not have to be a HealthPartners patient.
