Healthpartners Center for Memory and Aging

Healthpartners Center for Memory and Aging Develops new ways to treat and prevent Alzheimer's disease and other memory disorders and implements these to improve the care of patients.

The Alzheimer's Research Center (ARC) conducts internationally recognized research that has led to the development of promising new treatments for Alzheimer's and other brain disorders. This includes our discovery of the intranasal insulin treatment which has been shown in multiple human clinical trials to improve memory in patients with Alzheimer's disease or mild cognitive impairment. Intranasal insulin has even been shown to improve memory in normal, healthy adults. The Center for Dementia and Alzherimer's Care (CDAC) was established for the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of patients suffering from memory and cognitive disorders. Our goal is to improve dementia care by facilitating early detection and prevention of unnecessary hospitalizations through a holistic care philosophy including patients as well as families.

❤️ Happy Valentine’s Day from the HealthPartners Center for Memory & Aging! ❤️

Today is a beautiful reminder of the power of love in all its forms — the love between partners, families, friends, caregivers, and everyone who supports one another through life’s changes.

We see every day how meaningful connection can be for brain health and emotional well‑being. A shared story, a familiar song, a gentle hand to hold — these moments matter.

Whether you’re celebrating with someone special, honoring memories of loved ones, or offering care and comfort to those living with memory loss, we’re grateful for the love you bring into the world.

💜 Wishing you a day filled with kindness, connection, and moments that warm the heart.

🏈🧠 Super Bowl Sunday: A Moment to Watch — and Reflect on Brain Health 💜

As millions tune in for the big game, we’re reminded of the incredible power of the brain — from lightning-fast decision making on the field to the long-term impact of hits and injuries.

At the HealthPartners Center for Memory & Aging, we care deeply about protecting and understanding the brain — especially when it comes to conditions like traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), Parkinson’s disease, and dementia.

💡 Did you know?
• Football players face increased risk of concussion and long-term cognitive changes.
• Research into CNS disorders — including Parkinson’s and TBI — helps us better understand and treat these conditions.
• Some of our Parkinson’s research is happening right here in Golden Valley, MN.

Whether you're cheering for touchdowns or thinking about your own brain health, today’s a great day to appreciate the amazing work our brains do — and the importance of caring for them.
