Minnesota Prevention Resource Center

Minnesota Prevention Resource Center (MPRC) provides information to address the root causes of substance misuse.

We are part of a system that shares information, data, and in-person support to grow substance misuse prevention across Minnesota. Mission: To empower Minnesotans to advance substance misuse primary prevention statewide. Values:
-All people have the right to a healthy life free from addiction.
-Building and maintaining a strong prevention network contributes to the greater prevention community.
-Collaboration, learning, and growth are key to strong prevention efforts. Our work:
-Share stories of Minnesota community-based prevention work in action.
-Host Minnesota’s annual statewide prevention conference.
-Host ongoing training opportunities that cover prevention, basic skills and ethics.
-Provide an easy-to-search, online collection of prevention resources.
-Communicate essential news and information on prevention work in Minnesota.
-Create prevention-based resources. Funded by the Minnesota Department of Human Services, Behavioral Health, Housing, and Deaf & Hard of Hearing Services Administration and hosted by the Associations for Nonsmokers MN.

The Minnesota Prevention Program Sharing Conference is Minnesota's only statewide conference focused on primary prevention of substance misuse, mental health promotion, and working to make positive change in our communities. The annual conference provides an opportunity for everyone who is engaging in this work every day to come together, share ideas, and learn from one another.
