Who can get their vaccine now?
โข Minnesotans aged 65 or older
โข Health care workers, including paid and unpaid primary caregivers for people with complex medical needs
โข Long-term care residents and staff members at long-term care facilities in Minnesota
โข Pre-kindergarten through Adult Basic and Community Education school staff members, or contracted school staff members, at schools in Minnesota
โข Child care staff members at licensed and certified child care centers or programs in Minnesota

Sickle cell disease, Down syndrome, those in active cancer treatment or immunocompromised from organ transplant, oxygen-dependent chronic lung and heart conditions (COPD and CHF)

Laying out a path to vaccinate all Minnesotans
Minnesota is continuing to immunize those at highest risk of getting COVID-19, as well as those most at risk of severe disease and complications if they become infected. Adults aged 65+ are among the most vulnerable to COVID-19 โ and we will vaccinate at least 70% of Minnesota seniors before expanding eligibility to other groups. After we vaccinate 70% of seniors, eligibility will expand based on underlying health conditions and workplace exposure risk. As with all decisions throughout this pandemic, we are guided by science, medical evidence, and federal guidelines.
All Minnesotans who have not been vaccinated should sign up for the COVID-19 Vaccine Connector to stay updated on eligibility for the COVID-19 vaccine and connect to local vaccine opportunities when they become available. Minnesotaโs vaccine progress is possible because of the strong and stable network of providers that have been mobilized. Health care systems, local pharmacies, federally qualified health centers, hospitals, local public health facilities, and state-run community vaccination sites have been activated to bring the vaccine to Minnesotans in every community across the state. We are committed to an equitable distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine and will continue to expand access in the weeks and months ahead.
Vaccines are here, and they are saving lives. As vaccine supply increases, it will become easier than ever to get a shot. Until then, itโs important to take easy steps to slow the spread of illness. Wear your mask, stay 6 feet away from others, wash your hands, and get a COVID-19 test if you need one. When itโs your turn, get your vaccine. After youโve had your shot, continue following these safe practices to protect your neighbors while they wait for their vaccine.
