Another successful round trip with the Evoc bag 🙌

The fact that my Renegade Escapade is steel makes me feel a bit safer with the soft-sided bag. I’ve shipped carbon bikes with no issue, as well, though I was more nervous. This comes in right at 50 lbs, so a hard-sided case would increase the baggage cost…

FYI… had to pay each direction
Sun Country = $100 (50 lbs or less)
Delta = $35 (50 lbs or less)

I’m sure to clearly mark my powder 😆

My biggest concern is always the derailleur hanger 🤞(which I could remove for the trip)… yet it keeps making it through!

There’s no way that my pictures can adequately describe how epic this group ride was! 🤯 I can’t wait to see some drone footage if it exists.

Although I didn’t ride I was just as happy to be a part of the crew that prepped the last stop with donations from local small businesses in the form of coffee, donuts, cookies, and more…

This feels like a strange time to celebrate personal accomplishments. This experience, along with the reflection/write up are opportunities for me to breathe. My hope is that this will give you at least a few minutes to be distracted, to breathe. Please take care of yourselves. It’s a long game and we need to stay energized.

A few days out from Arrowhead… -14°F

Today’s temps offered an opportunity to see what International Falls will feel like on Monday.

I’ve spent years learning what my body needs to tolerate this kind of ride, sometimes the hard way.

Grateful for the people and experiences (including the failures) that make me think I can pull this off. 🤞
