STAR Services We offer supports and solutions to help providers ​better serve people receiving support. Who works with STAR Services?

STAR Services is a unique company designed to meet the changing needs in the human services field. Founded in 1998, STAR Services has recognized and met the needs of individuals, service providers, families, and staff, to enhance the services being provided to people receiving supports. We provide a variety of supports and solutions including temporary staffing, live and online training, program support and compliance consulting, and person-centered planning. The services we provide are as unique and diverse as the agencies and people we work with and are tailored to meet each agency’s specific requirements. In an uncertain political and financial climate, our customers look for solutions to their organizational needs that may not require them to bring individuals onto their payroll. Many customers often use our supports heavily through times of change, expansion, or uncertainty and then taper back when needs stabilize. Other customers use us permanently for certain tasks or supports as part of their organizational design. Through training, consulting, or customized supports, STAR Services will help you gain the skills, understanding, and confidence to succeed in this field. We work with every imaginable type of disability provider. Our customers are large and small, rural and urban, established and emerging, and represent residential, vocational, and in-home services. Designated Managers carry significant responsibility—and moving from knowing the rules to implementing them well takes advanced skill.

The Advanced Designated Manager Workshop on March 18-19 is a two-day, in-depth training for current or soon-to-be Designated Managers who already have experience with Chapter 245D and the Positive Supports Rule. This workshop goes beyond basic compliance to focus on the how of implementation, quality assurance, and continuous program improvement.

Participants will work through complex DM responsibilities including incident review and corrective action, staff competency evaluation, data-driven service evaluation, responding to correction orders, and developing systems that support ongoing compliance and quality services. This highly interactive workshop emphasizes real-world application, collaboration, and immediate takeaways.
