This is our annual week to celebrate YOU, our Direct Support Professionals, and everything you do for Phoenix and the individuals we support!
We couldn't do this without you! So thank you for everything you do and will continue to do in the future! We appreciate you!

Dear Team,
Each year during this week, I take time to write you a letter. And if I am honest, I worry that my words sometimes come across as “routine” or “expected” rather than deeply felt. This year, I want to be very clear: there is nothing routine about what you do, and there is nothing ordinary about you.
The work of a Direct Support Professional is sacred work. You step into the lives of people who need support, dignity, and opportunity—and you provide it with patience, skill, and compassion. You are the ones who turn our mission into reality, not with grand speeches, but with everyday acts of care: a hand on a shoulder, an encouraging word, a safe home, a meal prepared with attention, a moment of laughter shared.
I know the work is not easy. It requires resilience in the face of challenges, creativity in the middle of limitations, and love in the small details that no one else may see. And yet—you keep showing up. For the individuals you support, you are more than staff. You are teachers, advocates, friends, and sometimes even the family they can count on most.
I want you to know that I see you. I honor the sacrifices you make. I am humbled by your faithfulness to those we serve. And I am grateful—beyond words—for your calling to this work.
During this week, as we honor Direct Support Professionals across the nation, I am proud to stand with you—the Phoenix team—because you embody what it means to serve with excellence, heart, and humanity.
