Our residents spent time reflecting on what they’re thankful for this year, and their answers were full of heart — family, friends, cherished memories, and the simple joy of being together. Listening to them share their gratitude reminds us just how meaningful the little moments truly are.

At Brookefield Park, we are deeply thankful for our residents who brighten our days with their stories, their smiles, and their strength. We’re grateful for their families who trust us, support us, and partner with us in their care. And we’re thankful for a community that wraps our residents in love, visits, laughter, and connection.

Every day, we are reminded that Brookefield Park isn’t just a place to live it’s a family.

During this special season we were lucky to have both St. Paul third graders and high schoolers stop by. They played games with our residents, painted pumpkins, and filled our halls with laughter and joy.

We appreciate each group so much for taking the time to visit and brighten our residents days. These moments mean the world!

A little late to post… but worth it!
Halloween at Brookefield Park was such a joy. Thank you to all the families who brought their little trick-or-treaters out our residents LOVED seeing the kids in their costumes.
And a huge thank you to everyone who donated candy to make the night extra special. Your kindness helps create moments our residents talk about for days.
We’re so grateful for this community and the love you show our Brookefield family.

Rosie had the sweetest way of lighting up every space she was in that big smile, those open arms ready for a hug, and the little kisses she gave so freely. She never missed a chance to make someone feel good. She loved giving compliments, especially telling everyone’s how beautiful they were and how much she loved them.

Rosie loved music, cookies, laughing, and most of all… she loved people. She made every single person she met feel seen, loved, and important. Her joy was contagious you couldn’t be around her without smiling too.

We will miss her hugs, her sweetness, and her bright spirit so much.
So grateful we got to be a part of her life and to know someone as special as her.

Honoring Our Veterans at Brookefield Park
Today was such a meaningful and emotional Veterans Day here at Brookefield Park. We were honored to celebrate the incredible men and women who served our country with courage, sacrifice, and heart.

A huge thank you to the Sons of the American Legion for coming in and personally recognizing each of our veterans. They presented beautiful certificates made by AseraCare Hospice, offered a salute to each veteran, and made this day truly special.

We were also blessed by the community:
❤️ Third City Christian School – the students colored heartfelt “Thank You Veterans” pictures that brought so many smiles.
💙 Kids R Kids Childcare -your sweet artwork meant the world to our residents.
🤍 Kaleena Smith – thank you for putting together the adorable goodie bags. They were such a perfect touch.

To our veterans here at Brookefield Park and everywhere we honor you, we appreciate you, and we thank you for your service and sacrifice.
Your bravery made our freedom possible, and we are grateful every single day.

Remembering Dean
We’ll miss that quick wit, the way he loved giving everyone a hard time, and the smile that always followed. Dean never missed a good card game, a round of bingo, or a scoop (or two) of ice cream. He loved his music, his newspaper, and every bit of laughter shared along the way.

We’re so grateful for the time, stories, and memories we had with him. Rest easy, Dean you’ll always hold a special place in our hearts.

Things got spooky at Brookefield Park when The Grinch tried to steal Halloween… but our DON wasn’t having it!
With a wild crowd and plenty of laughter from the sidelines, the showdown was on!
In the end, the DON pinned The Grinch and took home the medal proving that at Brookefield Park, teamwork and spirit always win!
We love bringing laughter, creativity, and joy to our residents and staff it’s what makes Brookefield Park such a special place to be!
