Today is National Caregivers Day!

For us at Emerald Wings, it's so fitting that we celebrate Caregivers so soon after Valentine's Day, because love is truly at the core of caregiving.
Some of us have been called to be a Caregiver as a profession, and we want to recognize you all today! What you do is amazing!
But we also see that ALL of us are Caregivers in one way or another.

We want all of you to know....
We see you. We thank you. We are here to walk with you.

To the kids who rearrange their schedules.
To the spouses who sit bedside steadfast.
To the aides who bathe, reposition, comfort, and notice the smallest changes.
To the nurses who answer the phone every time it rings.

Caregiving is a quiet marathon.
It is steady. Faithful. Exhausting. Sacred.

You're doing it all!
And you're not alone.

Seeking Hospice Social Worker (LGSW / LMSW / LICSW)
Emerald Wings Hospice is seeking a compassionate, licensed social worker to join our interdisciplinary care team. This role supports patients and families through serious illness by providing psychosocial assessment, emotional support, care planning, and resource coordination.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and participate in the interdisciplinary group (IDG)
- Provide emotional support, counseling, and guidance to patients and families
- Assist with advance care planning, end-of-life decision support, and care coordination
- Collaborate closely with nurses, aides, chaplains, and physicians
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Support families through anticipatory grief and bereavement
Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota social work license (LGSW, LMSW, or LICSW required)
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Hospice or healthcare experience preferred, but not required
- Newly licensed social workers welcome to apply
