She is married with four children: three girls and one boy. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, hiking/sightseeing, socializing, relaxing, reflecting and reading.

Fun fact: Kinesiology tape was developed in the 1970s by a Japanese chiropractor, Dr. Kenzo Kase. It’s application has been shown to improve proprioception and neuromuscular control, reduce pain & inflammation, and enhance athletic performance!

☁️ We use kinesiology tape based on the principles of biomechanics and neurophysiology; applying the tape in a way that provides the most benefit to our patients to help maintain proper alignment & function, while still allowing full range of motion.

⏩ Whiplash is a type of neck injury that occurs when the head is suddenly je**ed forward and then snapped back, causing the neck to move beyond its normal range of motion. Whiplash is commonly caused by car accidents, particularly those involving rear-end collisions. However, it can also occur during contact sports or any other activity that involves sudden impact.

🩻 Symptoms of whiplash can include neck pain, stiffness, and reduced range of motion. Other symptoms may include headaches, dizziness, fatigue, and tingling or numbness in the arms or hands. It is typically diagnosed based on a physical exam and medical history. Imaging tests, such as x-rays, CT scans, or MRI, may be ordered to rule out other injuries or conditions.

🩺 We typically see patients three times a week for the first three weeks to monitor your progress. The length of time it takes to recover from whiplash can vary depending on the severity of the injury. Mild cases may resolve within a few days or weeks! In some cases, whiplash can lead to long-term complications, such as chronic pain or stiffness in the neck. If you are experiencing symptoms of whiplash, make sure to seek care right away to reduce the risk of long-term complications.
