Hello friends and colleagues,

Join us in a community gathering to care for all the internal places that need tending.

Using the modalities of breathwork, sound healing, reiki energy healing, and havening touch, we’ll offer a two hour experience for holding all that’s heavy, connecting to others in our humanity, and supporting deep restorative rest to keep showing up for it all.

Date: Saturday, February 28

Time: 2pm - 4pm

Location: Forgotten Star Brewery Co.

38 Northern Stacks Drive

Fridley MN 55421

*Use Event Center entrance in the back of the building and park in the back parking lot.

Fee: sliding scale by donation $0-$75 - all proceeds will go to local nonprofits supporting our neighbors impacted by ICE occupation (no one turned away if finances are tight - just come!)

What to Expect:

* We’ll begin with a welcome where we share a little information about each of the modalities, in case there are any new to you.
* Then you’ll get cozy in your cozy nests on the floor. Helen will guide everyone in a short grounding and intention setting before leading an active breathwork practice.

* After the active practice, you’ll be invited into an extended rest where Devin will serenade your system with a collection of sound healing instruments while Pam will offer hands-on reiki and Melanie will provide Havening touch to help deepen your restorative time and settle your nervous system.

* At the end of the sound bath, you’ll be invited to reflect in your journal and there will be some time to connect back in with the group for sharing and processing.

What to Bring:
We'll be sitting and lying on the floor, so bring whatever you need to feel cozy: yoga mats, bolsters, pillows, blankets, etc. There will be a few chairs in the room if sitting in one is more comfortable for any portion of the event. Dressing in layers is a great idea and you're welcome to bring any sacred items that might help you sink in (like stones or an eye pillow). Bring a journal if you like to jot down thoughts and a water bottle.

What is Breathwork?:
Breathwork is a type of active meditation, embodiment practice, and guided therapy that helps facilitate self-healing. Through a three-part rhythmic breath pattern, the increase of oxygen helps bypass the thinking brain and invites in the space to connect more deeply to your own intuition and wisdom, unblock your creativity, and support you in processing emotions, past trauma, or current roadblocks for more ease, alignment, clarity, and groundedness.

What is Sound Healing?:
Sound healing is a gently guided somatic experience where soothing tones from quartz singing bowls, chimes, and gongs interact with your nervous system to support regulation. The sustained vibrations invite deep relaxation, helping to release stored tension and foster a sense of safety in the body.

What is Reiki?:
Reiki is an energy healing technique used to reduce stress and promote relaxation. Pam will lightly place her hands on or just above you to support the balancing of your nervous system.

What is Havening?:
Havening is a psychosensory technique that involves touch, attention, and imagination in order to engender healing and positive change. Melanie will be applying Havening Touch to those interested.

Never doubt the power of gathering together for resistance,
healing and rest.
May we continue to hold hope and the vision for a better world.
We are in this TOGETHER!
