💙Healing Starts with Helping💙

Now through November, GMNTC is hosting a Community Food Drive to support families right here in St. Peter.

We’ll be donating all collected items to the St. Peter Area Food Shelf — and also offering direct help to families who come to us in need.

🕊️ Drop-Off Location: Greater Minnesota Trauma Center, 108 S Minnesota Ave, St. Peter, MN 56082

🕐 Dates: Now through November 30

🥫 Accepted Items: Non-perishables such as canned proteins, soups, pasta, peanut butter, baby food, and hygiene essentials.

In times when the world feels divided, we’re choosing connection over conflict. Let’s show what compassion looks like in action. Every can, every box, every gesture helps feed hope.

📦 Bring your donations to our office lobby anytime during business hours.

Together, we can make sure no one in our community goes hungry this season.

You can talk about the issue, where it comes from, spot the triggers, even explain the cycle to someone else. But awareness alone doesn’t always bring change; your nervous system has its own story to tell.
If you’ve been working on self-awareness for a while but still feel stuck, it’s not a lack of effort. It’s that lasting change won’t come until your nervous system feels safe enough to let go.
This is where ART can help. ART calms the body’s alarm system—using gentle eye movements to quiet the amygdala and shift the images tied to distress. The facts stay the same, but the emotional charge dissolves. Your body begins to feel grounded again, and your mind naturally follows.
Healing isn’t just about your intellect... It’s about helping your whole system feel safe enough to change.

🚨 2026 Conference Theme Reveal 🚨

We’re done pretending burnout is a personal problem.

“Burned Out. Checked Out. Fed Up: Now What?”
🧠 Reclaiming purpose in the age of exhaustion.

Next year’s Bridging the Trauma Gap Conference isn’t just for therapists — it’s for everyone in the helping world: teachers, social workers, nurses, advocates, first responders, foster care workers, and anyone who’s ever said “I can’t keep doing this like this.”

We’re bringing together real conversations, raw stories, and practical solutions for healing us — the helpers, the givers, the ones holding it all together while systems fall apart.

It’s not about self-care.
It’s about system care. Team care. Human care.

🌿 Community Care in Uncertain Times 🌿

At Greater Minnesota Trauma Center, we’re proud to have a team made up of professionals from Clinical Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Social Work — all deeply committed to supporting our communities, especially when times get tough.

With the government shutdown now impacting many local families, we were informed by Nicollet County that programs like SNAP and MFIP are being significantly affected starting today.

In response, our team wants to give back in a tangible way. ❤️

We’re offering $100 worth of groceries to help families bridge the gap — our team will do the shopping and meet you at our office to deliver them.

If you or someone you know could use support, please reach out to us. No judgment. No red tape. Just community helping community.

💛Supporting Families, Safely and With Dignity 💛

At Greater Minnesota Trauma Center, we don’t just provide therapy — we also provide space for families to reconnect.

Our Family Room offers a safe, welcoming environment for parents who are court-ordered to have supervised visits with their children. Families can make small meals together (yes, there’s a microwave, air fryer, and dining table!) and spend quality time in a home-like setting designed for comfort and safety.

We also offer Parenting Education and Coaching to help parents strengthen their relationships and build new skills.

GMNTC remains committed to keeping these services affordable and accessible while ensuring families are supported by trained, compassionate staff who believe in second chances and safe connections.

Today we pause to honor the rich cultures, traditions, and stories of Indigenous peoples.

Their contributions, resilience, and wisdom continue to shape our communities in powerful ways.

At GMNTC, we acknowledge that we live and work on the traditional lands of the Dakota (Sioux) people, who have long held deep connections to this land and the Minnesota River Valley. We also recognize the ongoing presence and contributions of Anishinaabe (Ojibwe) peoples throughout the state.

We honor the history, culture, and sovereignty of Indigenous Nations — past, present, and future — and remain committed to fostering healing, respect, and partnership across all peoples and generations.
