❄️ Shoveling Snow? Stay Safe & Injury-Free! ❄️
Winter weather is no joke — and neither are snow-shoveling injuries. Before you head outside, keep these shoveling safety tips in mind:

🔹 Warm up first — A quick 5-minute stretch or walk helps prevent muscle strain.
🔹 Use the right shovel — Lightweight, ergonomic shovels reduce stress on your back.
🔹 Push, don’t lift — Whenever possible, push snow aside instead of lifting it.
🔹 Lift safely — Bend at your knees, keep your back straight, and hold the shovel close to your body.
🔹 Take small loads — It’s better to shovel more often than to lift heavy, packed snow.
🔹 Watch your footing — Ice hides under fresh snow. Wear slip-resistant boots!
🔹 Pace yourself — Take breaks and stay hydrated. Listen to your body.
🔹 Know when to stop — Chest pain, dizziness, or shortness of breath are warning signs. Head inside immediately.

Winter weather can be beautiful—but it also brings slippery conditions. Here are some simple, effective tips to help you walk safely on ice:

Small steps help you keep your balance and give you time to react if you start to slip.

Your arms help you balance! Wear warm gloves so you can keep your hands free.
