🤔Half the internet says Jim Carrey was "replaced." The other half says he just aged. Nobody can agree on what they're seeing.

Jim Carrey appeared at the 51st César Awards in Paris on February 26, 2026, and immediately went viral. The 64-year-old showed up with shoulder-length jet black hair, a black tuxedo, and a look that left fans struggling to recognize him. It was his first public appearance since November 2025.

Carrey received the Honorary César Award for his contributions to cinema. He delivered his entire acceptance speech in French, revealing that his ancestor Marc-François Carré left Saint-Malo for Canada roughly 300 years ago. He was introduced by Michel Gondry, the director of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. He attended with his daughter Jane, grandson Jackson, and girlfriend Mina.

Social media split instantly: some praised how happy he looked, others insisted "that's not him."
