Hey friends! Perimenopause is a natural part of the aging process for women and is the transition period leading up to menopause. Here are some signs to look out for:

Irregular periods: As you near menopause, your periods may become irregular. They may be heavier or lighter than usual, or you may skip periods altogether.

Hot flashes: Hot flashes are one of the most common symptoms of perimenopause. They can cause sudden feelings of warmth, sweating, and rapid heartbeat.

Mood changes: Perimenopause can cause mood swings, irritability, and depression in some women.

Sleep disturbances: Changes in hormone levels can cause insomnia, difficulty falling asleep, or staying asleep.

Vaginal dryness: Lower levels of estrogen can cause vaginal dryness, discomfort during s*x, and increased risk of vaginal infections.

If you're experiencing any of these symptoms, talk to your doctor about ways to manage them. Remember, perimenopause is a normal part of life, and there are treatment options available to help alleviate symptoms.

Hey friends! As many of you know, premenstrual symptoms (PMS) are a real struggle for some of us. Did you know that PMS can be caused by a variety of factors? Here are a few common causes:

Hormonal changes: PMS is believed to be caused by the hormonal changes that occur during the menstrual cycle. Fluctuations in estrogen and progesterone levels can contribute to symptoms like cramps, mood changes, and bloating.

Stress: Stress can have a big impact on our bodies, and it's no different when it comes to PMS. When we're stressed, our bodies produce more cortisol, which can exacerbate PMS symptoms.

Poor diet: Eating a diet high in sugar, salt, and processed foods can worsen PMS symptoms.

Opting for whole foods and plenty of fruits and veggies can help alleviate symptoms.

Lack of exercise: Regular exercise can help reduce PMS symptoms by increasing endorphins and reducing stress. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise per day.

Genetics: Unfortunately, some of us may be more predisposed to experiencing severe PMS symptoms due to our genes.

Remember, if you're struggling with PMS, you're not alone. Talk to your doctor about treatment options that may help.
