Dr. William Straughn attended Northeast Missouri State University, and then transferred to Logan College of Chiropractic where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology. He then pursued his Doctorate training at Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri, graduating as a doctor of chiropractic in 1998.

Dr. Straughn has been in practice for over 25 years and had his own private Chiropractic practice in Florissant Missouri for 18 years. More recently he has treated patients at The Joint Chiropractic in both St. Peters/Cottleville area and in Chesterfield.

Dr. Straughn specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of motor vehicle injuries (whiplash and other accident trauma) and sports injuries. He enjoys being able to help those who can't necessarily help themselves recover from injuries. He is a golfer who recognizes the need to have good form and proper biomechanics to function optimally in golf as in any sport. He has treated patients of all ages with a goal of relieving their pain in order to return them to their life as quickly as possible.

Dr. Straughn has always wanted to be a doctor even as a young boy. While at Northeast Missouri State University he was introduced to Chiropractic by a mutual friend. After doing some research, he found that the philosophy of Chiropractic agreed with his personal beliefs on how health care should be delivered to his future patients. He was fascinated by the concept of helping patients without the need for drugs or surgery. He decided he wanted to pursue this career path to be able to help patients heal with just a little guidance.
Dr. Straughn lives with his wife Sheri of 25 years. He has 3 adult children with 2 grandson's. He spends most of his free time with his oldest grandson Mace.

“I have had the honor and privilege or serving St. Charles County and St. Louis County as a family chiropractic physician since 1988. I have been at Crosby Chiropractic & Acupuncture Centre since 2013. I have watched my profession grow and struggle during these past several decades and I am proud to say we are offering an even higher quality of care to our patients today than ever before in chiropractic history. My journey is rather unique in a way because I was motivated to become a chiropractic physician as a result of my own personal success story. In my youth, I was afflicted with a rare form of arthritis called Ankylosing Spondylitis. It is a progressive and debilitating disease that presents many painful challenges. The fact that it presents most commonly in the teens and twenties, the social aspects of progressive stiffness, bent and forward posture and almost total lack of spinal motion often seemed too much to bare. The arthritis had already ended a promising musical career. It produced a resolve so deep inside, there would be nothing to get in my way. I found along my journey that I had a thirst for knowledge, especially in the areas of human health and nutrition. One might consider it a distraction in my journey but, as it turns out, it was just another horizon of the same destiny. I had always been fascinated with the ancient Chinese culture especially the time-honored healing arts. I was invited to study under three of the Grand Masters of Traditional Chinese Medicine with the intention of earning my TCMD (Traditional Chinese Medical Doctor). My journey with my Masters and teachers has lifted me to a greater understanding of life, and the energy that created and sustains it. It is my hope that my additional learning has enhanced my ability to serve the patients who entrust their care into my hands. I remain a humble student drawing ever so closely to my TCMD goal.”
