Exercise is more mind than it is body. I have been an athlete most of my life and can tell you with 100% certainty that you can do so much more than you think you can. You are capable of so much more! I used to think I couldn’t do just one more stroke (in swimming) but I did and then I kept doing more. After a while you start to understand that when you think you’re done, you’re really not even close! You have so much more left in the tank. I promise!! It doesn’t seem like it sometimes, I know, but it’s there. Dig deep! You got this!!

I cannot stress this enough! You have to make exercise a habit. There’s always something else to do. Always work to do, laundry to do, dishes to clean etc. Make exercise something you schedule! Instead of saying you don’t have time to do it, change the wording to “it’s not a priority” and see if you feel differently. I bet you do!!

This is so important to remember. Always set lofty goals BUT don’t look up to the top of the staircase where your goal is. It’s overwhelming!! Just take the first step. Then tomorrow take the next step. Before you know it you’ve surpassed you’re original goal just by taking a small step every day. Be consistent! You can do this!!

I can tell what your diet is like, what your fitness level is, what your relationship with your significant other is like and what your finances are like just by looking at the average of the five people you hang around with the most. If you want any of those things to change, change your associations. Spend more time with healthy people if you want to be healthier.
