To all my Dragon Slayer Friends, now that we have exposed the need for testing and treatment of HCV, I urge everone to pick up the need for awareness of HPV, the human papllioma virus which has many health outcomes, including squamous cell carcinoma. I know, l am in treatment now. I plan on creating a FB page to address this serious health issue. Please help me as we have helped each other with HCV. Your friend Randall Owen.

Well my friends I am now in a battle against squamus cell carcinoma., and will undergo radiation and chemotherapy beginning in January. I know I will get suppurt friend's from my HCV friends. Thank you ALL!

I am so thankful for being involved in health related issues on Facebook. First I got involved with the Hepatitis C Advocacy efforts and started this page. That led me to follow many of the PHers, a very fulfilling effort. Then when my kidneys became an issue I joined several of those groups. Now I will join a cancer survivors group. We are all so blessed to have this forum to aid our recoveries. Facebook has it's critics and they may have valid points. But we can ignore those detractors from the good that comes from people sharing their fears, their hopes, their struggles an so much more here on Facebook. Thank you all.........Randall O

Thanks all for visiting this page. There have been quite a few lately and I think that is because more people are coming out of the dark. The national advertisements for drug treatment have brought the disease to light and it's about time.

Hello everyone! I am so grateful to all of you for being my FB friend or joining this support group. Now I am on a new health venture. I have been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, with a eGFR lab result of a 45, which puts me at stage 3 of 5, Sort of a shock, but no surprising. I had this feeling. Now I have to get help. I was just put on Medicare so I have health care and a new doctor. Also I am somewhat angry at my old doctor because this possibility of renal disease came up last Nov. in a CAT scan I had done. IT HAS TAKEN NINE MONTHS TO GET TO THIS DIAGNOSES!!! When treating any disease early diagnoses is so important, I guess I'm not. Love you all.

Well, after years of trying I finally was given SSDI & SSI. It won't add a great amount to my retirement check, but it will. Now I can get treatment for injuries caused by interferon treatment. Like my teeth falling out and hormone problems, and weight loss and liver damage from HCV. So I'm grateful to all the people who have paid in and support the Social Security Admin. I know I did. For those fighting to get it, don't give uo! Peace.
