Michael Schoeller, DO, is dual board certified in internal medicine and sports medicine and joins the BayCare Medical Group practice at 7751 Dr. M.L. King (Ninth) St. N., Suite 10, St. Petersburg, where he sees patients age 8 and older. He treats a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic and other sports-related injuries. He has advanced training in administering ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal injections.

Dr. Schoeller works with his patients, taking the time to understand their concerns and goals and collaborates with them to create a personalized plan for recovery and long-term wellness.

Dr. Schoeller earned his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee, and completed an internal medicine residency at Naples Community Hospital in Naples. He pursued advanced fellowship training in sports medicine at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky, where he cared for athletes of all competitive levels— from youth and college athletes to active adults and seniors.

We've had so much fun this fall as October ushers in the holidays. From our annual pumpkin decorating contest to the Halloween Costume Parade -- complete with a life-size Operation game and our version of the Spice Girls -- and the creative craft fair, we've gotten into the Halloween spirit. St. Anthony's is again in the pink as we join forces with businesses throughout the Tampa Bay area to shine a pink light on breast cancer. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we're joining the CREW Tampa Bay for the annual City In Pink initiative to encourage women to be proactive in their health care. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among women in the United States. Yelixa Melendez Ramos, MD, specializes in family medicine and joins the BayCare Medical Group practice at 6801 Fourth St. N., in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she sees patients age 18 and older. This team works extremely hard throughout the year but especially in October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to highlight the importance of getting an annual mammogram.
