Congratulations to Lisa, our St. Anthony's patient safety coordinator, who recently was awarded the DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to the hospital and BayCare. Lisa, who has 25 years of nursing experience, including 17 years at BayCare, has been sharing her expertise, wisdom and compassion to elevate the patient experience. Although Lisa is retiring, she leaves behind a tremendous legacy of programs she developed, nurses and other health care professionals she has mentored and the culture of safety she fostered at St. Anthony's and BayCare. We wish Lisa all the best as she plans to travel, visit family and volunteer.

St. Anthony’s was proud to give 12 students hands-on training when BayCare and CareerSource Tampa Bay teamed up this summer to provide young people with an up-close look at health care careers. From patient care to teamwork, these future health care professionals gained skills and confidence for their careers. Visiting Santa can be the highlight of the Christmas season. For these kids who have grown up with our hospital's Santa, seeing him year after year is always a treat. This year, two families continued their tradition of visiting the St. Anthony's Santa, who has heard the wishes of good girls and boys for 16 years.

For Melissa, her children began visiting Santa in 2006 when her daughter was just a few months old. Tyler and Haley, now adults, came back for a walk down memory lane.

Julie's daughters, Olivia and Lillian, also love visiting with this Santa because he's the one that they've grown up with. In fact, Lillian was just 1 month old for her first visit. Santa said he feels honored that they want to come back for a visit.

We hope that all your visits with Santa have helped your holiday wishes come true. 🎄🎅

Each year our St. Anthony's team members open their hearts to provide a brighter holiday for families in need through the annual Christmas Share program. Hospital departments and units adopted families through a charitable agency to help nearly 100 children. Before the bicycles, clothing, toys and more were picked up, they were blessed by our spiritual care team.

Throughout BayCare, our team members give of themselves. Recently, nearly 600 BayCare team members and their families shared their holiday spirit at the Metropolitan Ministries Holiday Tents in Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties. Many St. Anthony's team members were among those helping to sort food and toys, assisting families to shop and load their cars and offering warmth and encouragement during the holiday season.

Our annual Children’s Christmas Party got a truly magical makeover this year to become A Very Merry St. Anthony’s Celebration. The hospital's main lobby was transformed into a festive Christmas Village complete with arts and crafts, cookie decorating, face painting, special selfie stations and an elf bowling alley. Outside, our team members and their families cuddled Jason Moomoa, the miniature cow, and jumped around in an inflatable snow globe. And then there were rides on the Holiday Express that took an incredible journey through snow. And no party would be complete without Santa and Mrs. Claus! Oh, what fun we all had! 🎅🤶🎄

Oh, what fun we had during our annual holiday meal this year. Each holiday season, St. Anthony's hosts a special brunch to say thanks to our wonderful team members for all they do for our patients, visitors and each other. The special meal was filled with many delicious delights served up by our thoughtful leadership team. We want to give a special shout out to our fantastic food and nutrition team for the many hours they spent preparing this fabulous feast.
