Revolution After Dust-off

Revolution After Dust-off RAD is a wellness education company, founded by Dr. Dan Cooper, a combat veteran, wellness physician, and motivational speaker. It was too late to save him.

He is the primary author of all RAD coursework and protocols. Revolution After Dust-off has been over two decades in the making. As an ocean rescue lifeguard, a competitive athlete, and a combat infantryman, I have always been highly driven to discover the keys to being my best self. Those days, my ability to perform mentally and physically could mean life or death for myself or others. I researched, trialed, and refined what I learned tirelessly. At some point, I realized that friends, even strangers were asking me for my “secret,” what do I do to look and feel so healthy, and to be so calm and happy all the time? I was always thrilled to share what I knew. When I left the army, eight years from whence I started, after my tour in Iraq, my service spirit still burned strong and I knew I wanted to turn my service towards the health crisis our nation was facing. I earned my Doctorate of Chiropractic, seeking a hands-on, holistic, and non-pharmaceutical approach to care. I deepened my studies of countless healing modalities and paradigms, neurology, physiology, pathology, and more. I discovered time and time again, That the exciting "breakthroughs" in modern research were upholding and proving ancient wisdoms and natural approaches to generating health. What I found to be the most exciting and evidence-based keys to preventing and reversing modern, chronic, lifestyle-induced disease could be found within the fields of epigenetics and neuroplasticity. I naturally loved to teach and educate my patients on these concepts. Their results and successes were repeatably amazing when empowered with holistic protocols they could integrate into their daily routines. The idea for Revolution After Dust-off was really born when my father was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer that had metastasized to his brain and other areas. I realized then that I could not stand by while so many families suffered like mine did at the hands of preventable diseases. Revolution After-Dust off exists to bring actionable, effective wellness lifestyle education to more people than I can reach with singular face-to-face encounters in my clinical practice. I want to support people in taking responsibility and action to care for their bodies, and to discover their healthiest, happiest selves.

In a time when the world seems to be flung into pandemonium and our health futures seem out of our control, remember that every disease needs a host. Make yourself an inhospitable host.

Idealizing your health = increasing your resistance to all disease. That rings true for just as much as it does for any disease that you can think of, metabolic, pathogenic, or otherwise.

So, take this time to better yourself. Make better dietary choices. Improve your level of physical fitness. Improve the quality of your thoughts. Become such a beacon of health that the next virus that floats your way says, "Damn, nevermind."

So often, as humans, we feel regret. We feel regret for things we've said or done but, more often, we feel regret for the things that we have left unsaid or undone. I generally think that New Years resolutions are stupid, functioning as little more that a focusing agent for self loathing or regrets. It's such a strange tradition. We hold off on doing things that we know we should just do now, but hold off for New Years or we catalog our failures and vow to right those wrongs on January 1st.

Postponing what you know you want for your life just engrains the internalization of incongruence between values and action, making you more likely to fail to achieve in the future. The habit of cataloging failures is so odd to me. If you are identifying deficiencies so that you may figure out the best ways to correct them, then that's probably useful. If you are doing it without identifying real actionable steps to correct those past missteps, you are simply reinforcing within your psyche your pattern of failure. Not helpful!

Nike's messaging may be off target lately, but they killed it in the 80's. Just freaking do it! Identify things that excite or enrich you and pursue them. Set goals. Make achieving successes part of your everyday life. They may be tiny, but keep the wins coming. Make the things that you say "yes" to each day, bring you closer to success. Do the same for the things that you say "no" to. Those time and energy sucks that we do even though we know they aren't helping us further ourselves directly take away from our efforts to become what we strive for.

Don't be someone who wishes they could be. Be someone that becomes. If you need help, I'm a DM, phone call, text, or email away.

This coming Saturday, I will be delivering a presentation at First Unity Spiritual Campus in St. Petersburg, FL on how our bodies physically hold onto emotions from traumatic events and how we can mitigate those effects. I will be putting scientific rationale to some concepts and shared experience that has hung out in the esoteric world for too long. I'll be delivering techniques to help thwart locking in j***y emotions when injuries occur as well as safely releasing those that are stored from old traumas.

In short, you should definitely not miss this!

There's a lot to getting the most out of your brain. If you're trying to maximize your memory, creativity, emotional control, or intuition, creating a brain health lifestyle is the move. There are many factors that may be addressed to idealize brain function. Intentionally directing neuroplasticity to work in your favor is one of them. Reducing excessive or chronic stress, optimizing nutrition through well selected whole foods, nutritional supplementation, and many more may round out the picture.

For now, let's start slow and hit four tips to improve neuroplasticity. You choose the goal, but add these factors into the path to achieving that goal and it will come significantly faster!

Go forth and kick ass.
