Suncoast Health Council was created by Florida Statute in 1983 to identify, address and resolve health care issues of local concern. The Health Council’s mission is to improve health in Pinellas and Pasco County through planning, education and service delivery. Suncoast Health Council collects and analyzes health care data; describes community health status; identifies health care needs and resources; and works with community partners to design programs and services to respond to current and emerging health care needs. Health Council staff has extensive knowledge of public health and social support issues. We know our community and work hard to provide programs that are culturally appropriate and support the health and human service needs of our community’s most vulnerable residents. Please visit our website at www.suncoasthealthcouncil.org to learn more about the Health Council’s efforts to “Make Health Happen” in Pinellas and Pasco County.
