Drinking water before and after a massage is crucial to rehydrate muscles, aid in flushing out metabolic waste (like lactic acid) released during treatment, and prevent post-massage soreness or headaches. Aim for 16 ounces of water before and another 16–24 ounces afterward, while continuing to sip fluids throughout the day.
