Sports Massage:
Is focused, systematic targeting of muscles that are used in a specific sport. It is variety of techniques that are used to decrease muscle pain and improve recovery. Also, to improve overall range of motion and flexibility to support safe, effective movement.
Not all therapists understand that "sports massage" is not a specific technique yet it is a carefully considered treatment of many modalities, matching the physiology of the injury/issue with the physiological effects of each modality utilized.
