TENSION WE WRESTLE with in RELATIONSHIPS

Granting too much access to our lives without the correct level of responsibility: rubber bands only have so much tension before they snap.

The blue rubber band represents the access you have given someone is equal to them taking equal responsibility. There is plenty of give if it moves up or down one or two places.

The yellow rubber band stays at a constant tension and doesn't have very much give if you increase their access, or if their responsibility goes down.

The red rubber band hanging on by a thread, it is at maximum tension and ready to snap.
