The holidays can be joyful, but they can also bring stress and overwhelm. Protecting your peace is just as important as spreading cheer. Here are a few ways to keep healthy boundaries this season:

1.Know Your Limits – Decide what you’re comfortable with before events start.

2.Communicate Clearly – Use calm, direct language to express your needs.

3.Take Breaks – Step outside or find a quiet space if you feel overwhelmed.

4.Don’t Overcommit – It’s okay to say “no” to extra plans or obligations.

5.Protect Your Peace – Remember, your mental health matters as much as anyone else’s.

Boundaries aren’t selfish—they’re essential. Give yourself permission to enjoy the holidays on your own terms. 💛

Tips for Staying Sober Over Thanksgiving 🍽️

1. Plan Ahead – Bring your own non-alcoholic drinks and have an exit strategy if things get uncomfortable.
2. Stay Connected – Reach out to a friend or support group before and after gatherings.
3. Focus on Gratitude – Remind yourself why sobriety matters and celebrate your progress.
4. Keep Busy – Help with cooking, games, or conversation to stay engaged.
5. Say “No” with Confidence – Practice a simple response like, “I’m good with what I have.”

🚫 National Unfriend Day: Who’s in Your Circle?

Recovery is hard—but it’s even harder when you're surrounded by people who pull you back into old habits.

November 17 is National Unfriend Day, so we want to encourage you take a moment to reflect:

👉 Are the people around you helping your healing—or hindering it?
👉 Do they support your sobriety, your faith, your growth?

Sometimes, the most loving thing you can do is set boundaries. At The Remedy Project, we help individuals and families navigate these tough choices through free, faith-based counseling and support groups. We invite you to join us for one of our groups this week.

💬 You deserve a community that lifts you up.
