39 days until our 2022 parade steps off! Save the date! Please do share!
• Saturday December 3rd @ 11am!

The parade route is right down Broadway (route 49) beginning at the corner of 4th Street (the new home of Henry D Young Inc Insurance) and ends at Johnson Street (the road before Sherwin-Williams).

For anyone asking. We are told the construction on Broadway will be further south of the parade route (closer to the McDonald’s end) at the time of the parade, so there shouldn’t be any issues.

Thinking about registering to be in the parade? The registration form link is posted below ⬇️ We thank you for all your support through the years.

Good evening everyone
My name is Deputy Chief Eugene Johnson. From Fenwick Community Ambulance. Salem City Volunteer EMS.
Most of you don’t know that Salem city has had volunteer EMS workers
So several months ago. The city of Salem decided to suspend operations because they felt that we could not provide a basic service
But they is a lot the public does not know. And it’s time we share the ugly truth.
As stated we are volunteer. We do not. Have not ever charge for a ride to the emergency room
But American Legion will charge you
The worse of it. We were exposed to covid19
We did not have proper ppe. We did not have a lot of stuff that is outlined by osha and NJ PEOSHA
a complaint was filed. See attached below
So instead of talking to us to resolve this. The cut all ties.
They was no input from the community or us.
Just another back door decision but the politicians that are elected.
I would ask them. We get rid of a free service.
Why not share the contract terms with American legion with us. Why break the federal osha laws as we serve on the front lines.
Thank you for reading this
