Happy Halloween from all of us at Ocean Gem!

Our Salem office will be closed this afternoon due to heavy Halloween traffic. We will offer telehealth appointments for the remainder of the day and re-open on Monday morning.

Our Beverly office will remain open during normal business hours.

Our staff had the privilege of connecting with fellow healthcare providers, community partners, and new patients at the North Shore Health and Wellness Expo!

We’re grateful to work in Massachusetts—a state where access to quality healthcare and mental health is supported by our legislators and our community. Special thanks to Senator Joan Lovely, State Representative Sally Kerans, and Dutrochet Djoko PharmD., Med., Msc., Bsc., Rph. for their leadership and advocacy in making events like this possible.

This month, we are happy to welcome Jack Shakin, M.A., to the Ocean Gem provider team!

Jack is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at William James College after earning a bachelor’s in psychology at Boston College. He has extensive experience working with children and families in clinical, community, and in-home settings. He has also worked as a substance use counselor for adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Jack is passionate about helping patients meet their goals by strengthening their self-advocacy and problem-solving skills. He believes in collaboration to identify solutions for presenting concerns based on personal strengths. Jack has experience working with individuals who present with anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, substance use, ADHD, and PTSD.
