*Thursday, Dec. 11: The Salem Public Library, in partnership with Circular Salem, is hosting a “really really free holiday market,” where anyone can come pick up and wrap free presents for their loved ones. The library will be accepting donations of items in new or excellent condition from 2:30 – 4 p.m. Then, from 4-6 p.m., anyone can come pick out free presents. No donation is required to shop. There will also be wrapping stations, with volunteers available to assist. It will be in the Anderson Room A&B at the main branch, 585 Liberty St. S.E.

Keizer Holiday Lights Parade is Dec. 13
The Keizer Holiday Lights Parade, featuring a magical night of twinkling lights and holiday music, is from 7 to 9 p.m. on Dec. 13.

Entries from local businesses, fire districts, civic groups, car clubs and marching bands will light up River Road from Lockhaven to Glynbrook, with Santa expected to participate.

As we move into the Thanksgiving holiday, we want to take a moment to share our genuine appreciation with each of you.

This time of year encourages us to slow down and reflect on the support, teamwork, and compassion that shape our daily work. It’s a reminder of the strength that comes from community and the impact we make when we stand together. Whether you are a caregiver, team member, community partner, or dedicated family supporter—your commitment brings comfort and stability to those we serve.
