Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a natural method of treatment that aims to restore normal function to the neuromusculoskeletal structures of the body. The most common treatment method utilized is the adjustment, which can be done manually or with an instrument. Adjustments are gentle and safe and allow the structures of the body to normalize and relax.
Therapeutic Modalities
These are adjuncts therapies to the adjustment that can allow for faster healing time, increased relaxation, and longer relief after the treatment visit. Examples of there types of therapies are cryotherapy, thermotherapy, TENS, interferential current, and ultrasound.
Cupping
The application of plastic or glass suction cups to the body for the treatment of muscle aches, trigger points, and general relaxation. Traditional Chinese medicine stated that is is good for moving Qi and Blood to alleviate pain. Most patients say that it feels like a deep tissue massage. In some patients this therapy can leave a mark on the skin.
Acupressure, Massage, Bodywork
Acupressure is the pressing on of acupuncture points to help elicit a therapeutic response in the body. Massage and bodywork are general terms for the manual manipulation of the musculoskeletal system of the body to relax sore muscles, reduce knots, and improve flexibility and circulation.
