As of May 1st, the State of Oregon will be allowing medical and dental practitioners to resume full service care (including elective procedures, cleanings and exams). Dr. Laseter’s Office will be reopening on May 12th for all procedures. We are still available this week to provide emergency care.
While we are excited to get back to work and provide care to you and your family, we will be using the upmost caution as our communities health and safety is our number one priority. The State of Oregon requires several standards are met prior to starting elective procedures, and unfortunately they can be especially difficult for dental offices. It is critical that we have enough personal protective equipment (PPE) for our team. As you have probably seen in the news, the nation is having difficulties procuring enough for our hospitals, let alone our dental clinics. We are actively working to source that equipment while still being sensitive to the needs of our community.
Also, due to the open nature of our operatories (the room where we provide your care) we are concerned about airflow during certain procedures. We will using CDC and ADA guidelines for air and surfaces cleaning standards to determine how long we need to wait between patients to ensure the air and surfaces are sanitized and safe for our next patient.
Please, if you know you are in a high risk category, if you may have been exposed to, or think you may have COVID-19, do not schedule at this time. We are suspending all short-notice cancellation fees until further notice. We also ask for your understanding if we need to reschedule with short notice.
If you do have an appointment, there are new guidelines we are following to ensure safety:
-Dr. Laseter and employees will take their temperature prior to each work day.
-Appointments will be staggered to maximize social distancing.
-If possible, please wear a mask until in the operators.
-Hand sanitizer will be available before, during and after all procedures.
