If you want to help eliminate one piece of bureaucratic waste in healthcare in MA please contact your local representatives and tell them to support this bill which eliminates HMO “referral” requirements for DPC patients and allows physicians in MA to dispense wholesale meds from office. We are one of five states that do not allow this!

Dr. Mike recently testified in support of House Bill 1343 – An Act Relative to Direct Primary Care.
🏥 This bill would:
• Let any DPC doctor order tests or referrals — no insurance network barriers.
• Allow doctors to dispense affordable meds directly from their offices (something most states already allow!).
These simple changes would make care more affordable, accessible, and patient-centered — the heart of what we do at Action Medicine DPC.
