Kids Who Count Kids Who Count is a nonprofit, Early Intervention program serving families in Ut EARLY INTERVENTION

Babies and toddlers grow and develop at different rates.

Early intervention can improve the outcomes for children who need a little extra help to keep their development on track. Early intervention services are authorized by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and are available in every state. As part of the Utah Department of Health Baby Watch Early Intervention program, our goal is to help your child grow and learn, and reach their potential. The Kids Who Count early intervention program serves children from birth to age three in the Nebo School District boundaries who have a delay in their development or a diagnosed disability. A huge thank you to the Utah STEM Action Center for their incredible donation to Kids Who Count! We're overwhelmed by the amazing amount and variety of games they've provided to support our program.

These games are such a valuable resource for parents helping their children with early math learning. We're so grateful to have partners like the Utah STEM Action Center who believe in giving every child a strong foundation in math through play and family engagement.

Thank you for investing in our mission and our families!

Making the Holidays Work for Every Child

The holiday season is magical, but for children with sensory processing differences, it can also be overwhelming.

The twinkling lights, cheerful music, scratchy sweaters, and packed social calendars that make December special can sometimes trigger stress instead of joy. Changes to routine, unfamiliar foods, and crowded gatherings add extra layers of challenge.

If your child experiences sensory sensitivities, you're not alone—and you don't have to choose between celebrating the holidays and keeping your child regulated. Small, thoughtful adjustments can help your whole family enjoy the season.

Click the link and find a guide that offers practical, realistic strategies for managing the sensory challenges of Christmas, from decorating and gift-giving to holiday events and routine disruptions. Whether you're navigating your first holiday season with a sensory-sensitive child or looking for fresh ideas, you'll find tips to create a calmer, more joyful celebration that works for your family.
