Terry Conway Flanery, born March 18, 1941, in Fredericktown, Missouri, entered eternal rest March 11, 2026, in Joplin, Missouri, at the age of eighty-four years.
Terry was the son of Clarence and Ann (Conway) Flanery. He attended grade school in Irondale and graduated from Leadwood High School. He met his sweetheart, Beverly, on a blind date and on June 5, 1982, they were united in marriage. Together they were blessed with forty-four years of lasting love, memories, and family. They shared three children: Angela, Tamala, and Derek.
Terry worked as a salesman, including a long career with Dunlap Sales. His work allowed him to travel, and he truly enjoyed meeting new people along the way. In his spare time, he took pride in keeping his yard immaculate and loved watching NASCAR. He even had the opportunity to attend races at the tracks in Daytona and Talladega.
Terry deeply loved his family. He adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and spending time with them was one of his greatest joys. Alongside Beverly, he loved to travel and often visited Panama City, Florida.
Terry was a man of strong faith and a longtime member of Grace Community Church. He was active on the hospitality team and the men’s group, and he cherished the fellowship with his church family.
Terry is survived by his loving wife: Beverly Flanery of Salem, MO; daughters: Angela Byron and husband Jeremy of Salem, MO and Tamala Carroll of Salem, MO; son: Derek Carroll of Salem, MO; brother: Howard Flanery and wife Linda of Lake St. Louis, MO; sister: Mary Sago of Imperial, MO; grandchildren: Kayla, Micah, Titus, Bre, Carly, Elizabeth, and Victoria; great-grandchildren: Hayden, Liam, Reagan, Kolbie, Harvey, Duncan, Theodore, Malakai, Teagan, Bellah, Baylor, Oakley, Owen, Landon, and Trethan; great-great-grandchild: Koah; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents: Clarence and Ann Flanery.
Terry lived a colorful life. He was lively, kind, and always smiling, often checking in on others and brightening their day. His love for family, friends, and faith will be remembered by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
