Don't have an automated washer in your lab? Learn how to hand-wash an ELISA plate with the following steps.
Hook up your wash buffer to a clean polyeurathane bottle. Pump water through until the bubbles disappear.
Remove the preliminary covering. Holding the plate at an angle, discard the contents of the wells with a forceful motion.
Evenly fill all wells, moving the wash buffer across the plate. Use enough force to remove any lingering material.
Wait the appropriate amount of time, as specified by your protocol, then discard the liquid. Repeat as needed.
Tap the plate on a lint-free surface, changing blotting towels as needed.
