My second Baby Listening Method Foundations class is this Sunday (two spots left if you’re feeling the urge!!) and my third clinical mentorship is next week!

✔️ Appointment spots for mentorship week are full, and all of the families have agreed to have a student present at their appointments

✔️ Baby Lab is full! This is the hands-on component of the mentorship where my student gets to practice everything she has learned through Foundations, Listening Through Touch, and observing two days of bodywork appointments with me - thank you to the mamas who have agreed to share your babies with us!

✔️ Foundations participant workbook is undergoing the final edits for this next group of Baby Listeners

✔️ 5/9 clinical mentorships this year have been reserved so these Baby Listeners can return to their communities with the skills needed to help babies be more comfortable in their bodies

✔️ This lady is enjoying a jasmine matcha and quiche refuel between appointments today

“Jen! Our little Miss is doing so much better. I wanted to give it a few days to make sure it wasn’t a fluke 🤣 She has been doing good with all her stretches and tummy time. She has had so much less spit up and I have been trying your suggestion of doing tummy time right after feeds and she doesn’t spit everything up like I thought she would being on her full belly. She doesn’t sound like she is taking in as much air during feeds and ive noticed a significant decrease in giant burps so I’m guessing there is just less air in her belly and less discomfort. Her overall demeanor is just better. She still had her moments for sure but just way less. Thank you so much 🥰
I wish we could see you sooner but we booked your first available in May, can’t wait!!”

Another Baby Listening Method mentorship is in the books! Lennon Clark and I had a great week diving deep into this work. Lennon is already a beloved midwife in our community who is so experienced and yet so humble. She is a lifelong learner who dedicates herself to being the best midwife she can be. She has been asking me to teach a class for a long time, since she recommends me to a lot of the families in her practice, and sees the immense benefits of bodywork and nervous system regulation for babies. I’m so excited for her to have these tools to help the babies in her practice and beyond. Thank you, Lennon for caring so much about the babies and their families. It has been a true honor to spend this time with you this week! And a big thank you to the sweet mamas and babies who helped out with Baby Lab (the hands on portion of the Baby Listening mentorship)! We couldn’t have done it without you.

Tomorrow is my first Listening Through Touch class, open to folks who have taken Baby Listening Method Foundations. Next week I will be doing a clinical mentorship with a dear student who will be the second person to complete the pathway to become a Baby Listening Method practitioner (the first is her community’s beloved baby bodyworker now). This next mentee is in my community, and I couldn’t be more excited. Why? My bodywork schedule is booking out 5 weeks! The babies need us! The world needs more of us doing this work. Colic is not a diagnosis.
When a baby cries a lot and the caregivers and providers can’t figure out why, they label it “colic” and say “don’t worry, they’ll outgrow it in a few months.” But babies don’t cry for no reason. They cry because something isn’t right - they are uncomfortable somewhere.
For the last 10 years, I have been working hands-on with babies with colic, and I CAN HELP THEM. And guess what? You can too!

This is one of my favorite facial stretches to do with babies who have a tongue tie, low tongue posture, clicking at the breast, a leaky latch, or lots of air swallowing. It typically works best with a sleeping baby (because their chubby little cheeks will go right into their eyes if they’re open).

New review just in!
I have been teaching natural childbirth classes in my community since 2012. At that time I had only been to a few births outside of my own, but birth was my “special interest”(/hyperfixation) and I had a lot to share. Now, a few hundred births later, I am teaching a lot of the same stuff (because physiological birth doesn’t change) with a lot more wisdom and experience.
My infant bodywork training started in 2016, so the way I talk about newborns has changed a lot over the years! I have had the pleasure of treating over 1200 babies in the last two years, and I’m always learning more and more, and this is the year I start my Baby Listening Method classes for providers and parents. My first class (for providers) is next month, and it is 100% waitlisted (meaning I opened 12 spots and have 12 people on my waitlist).
