Transgender Care: Think and Do the Extraordinary conference will feature two keynote speakers Dr. Heather Diaz and Dr. Lola White from the Transgender Care Program in Salem Oregon. Dr. Diaz will be presenting on the topic: Transgender Healthcare within the Primary Care Model. Dr. White will be presenting on two topics: A Pragmatic Approach to TGNC-Friendly Mental Health Care and Balanced Care: The 30,000 Foot View.
The conference focuses on connecting healthcare and mental health providers, community stakeholder, and organizations with knowledge and tools for best practices. Other topics include equitable academic environments, unintentional trauma and evaluating personal lenses in the children system
The BCN Transgender Sub-Committee has been collaborating for the past two years to develop and bring to the network, community, and organizations culturally diverse trainings.
