Unfortunately- many people are still living with the aftermath of long covid. The risk is present even with mild - moderate cases and increases with recurrent infections. The functional medicine approach can be helpful for post covid syndromes.

Ongoing post infection symptoms? This is a new chapter in the same book. As patients who have “post treatment Lyme disease” or “chronic Lyme” will attest, long after the infection is gone there are residual symptoms in the body.

Sharing the results of the Evanthea trial- which is a randomized controlled trial utilizing functional / precision / personalized medicine for early cognitive impairment. We need more data to show what we do is meaningful and makes a difference in outcome and this study does just that! Grateful to the researchers behind the study!

There has been ongoing interest in a functional medicine approach to cognitive decline and dementia. Most of the papers published by Dr Bredesen and his team in the last ten years have been case reports and evidence has been largely preliminary and anecdotal.
