💜variety of fitness modalities: you cannot become your strongest, healthiest, and fittest self by just doing one form of training. this is why we cover a ton of different things amongst all of our classes: stability, core, cardio, mobility, strength, flexibility
✨small group classes: no intimidation, form can be corrected, close-knit community. classes hold up to 6 people (aside from Zumba). this allows you to get more individualized attention despite being in a group setting, and you actually get to know the people around you!
💜private studio: again, no intimidation. there is absolutely nobody coming to peek through the window like you experience in gyms, no weights being slammed, and in 1:1 sessions it is just you & your trainer. our studio is small, private, and it allows you to feel like you can be yourself without judgement
✨welcoming community: no snobby, cliquey people allowed. our members are the most kind, welcoming, and supportive people ever. respectfully, if you disrupt our peace … see your way out. we don’t welcome negative energy here 🙂
💜woman-focused: not women only, but focused. your male loved ones are more than welcome to attend classes or buddy training with you if you’d like. 1:1 training is women ONLY, but 1:2 training (buddy training) can be done with you (a woman), plus a loved one of choice - regardless of gender. any group classes or group coaching sessions, men are also welcome!
➡️why? well, to be honest, after years of training in box gyms, i just haven’t had the best experience training men 1:1, or men have sought me out to train them in a creepy way. not all of them, but i don’t need to put myself in any uncomfortable situations, especially where this is a private studio. (however, men who i personally know are an exception to the rule). perks of being a young woman lol

happy friday, welcome back to form friday 🥳
we do this exercise a lot in classes, and some of my 1:1 clients have this programmed, so let’s talk about it.

DO:
✅keep elbows stacked over shoulders or 30-45° behind
✅keep shoulders stable
✅bend through your ELBOWS - squeeze your triceps to lift the weight
✅inhale as you bend, exhale as you extend
✅choose a weight that is comfortable, yet challenging
DON’T:
❌hit yourself in the head (pls). we don’t need to make the name of this exercise become a reality
❌move through your shoulders
❌keep your elbows straight - BEND EM!!!
❌choose a weight that’s too heavy (again, we don’t need you to literally crush your skull, thank you)
