Hey Mountain Ju**ies. We are sorry to announce that the Forever 5 & 10 Miler have been cancelled due to weather. We’re honestly amazed (and grateful) that it took 18 years and 160 races for Mother Nature to finally catch us. After getting out to assess conditions yesterday, it became clear that the entire area is essentially an ice rink, and safety has to come first.

All registered runners will be moved to the virtual option, and we’ll be sending follow-up emails shortly with details on how to proceed. This allows you to keep the Forever event as one of your 5 series qualifying races.

We truly hoped a Plan B would come together, but everyone is fighting their own battle with this snow and ice.

That said, we will still hold our normal packet pickup times so you can grab your selected item:

Also if you are in the RNUTS series, we do have the Outdoor Research Sun Hoodies for everyone to try on.

The 17th Frozen Toe 10k presented by J. Randolph Clements D.P.M. was a doozy and the wettest one yet. Hopefully everyone has dried out and are back to normal body temperature. Hey Mountain Ju**ies! Frozen Toe 10k is SATURDAY! Sounds like we will start out 2026 with some rain and and some mud! Yay! Haha You can still register online! Packet Pick Up will be at Gilbert Chiropractic today (Thursday, 1/8) 10am - 1pm and 3pm - 6pm. Friday 1/9 you can pick up packets at Fleet Feet Roanoke from 10am - 6pm. Race Day (Saturday 1/10) from 7:15am - 8:45am at New Hope Roanoke. If you ordered a Sweatshirt pick up only available at Gilbert Chiropractic Thursday or New Hope Roanoke Saturday. Nothing says it's RNUTS season like promoting multiple races at once 🏃‍♂️🌲

Tomorrow is the cutoff save some $$$ and guarantee a shirt for the 1/31/26 Forever 5 & 10 Milers!

Forever Trail is one of our all-time favorite sections of trail—rugged, backcountry, and the kind that keeps things interesting. Also, the Day Creek Day Use Area makes a perfect launching pad for all kinds of adventures.

After wrapping up trail work on Chestnut Ridge Friday, we headed straight back out Saturday to clear the Forever Trail of downed trees, logs, and wind debris. The trail is in great shape… minus a few patches of extra-thick leaves. We’ll let the frontrunners take care of those 😉

Frozen Toe 10k - Chestnut Ridge Loop Trail got some more love/work today. Ron Butler's conscience couldn't rest until we tackled the trail runner eating hole that had formed on the big downhill around mile 2. The work to get it filled will make us super sore tomorrow. 10 man hours later we had that project done, some minor leaf blowing and some more clearing of trees, limbs and logs. The loop is looking good for next week's race. On the way home we also took care of some logs that had fallen on the Murray Run trail.
