Dr. Scott Mann joined more than 600 optometrists and optometry students from across the nation in Washington, D.C. for the American Optometric Association’s Capitol Hill Day. 🇺🇸👁️
Together, they met with members of Congress and the Senate to advocate for patients’ access to quality eye care and to protect the doctor–patient relationship.
Key issues they discussed included:
✅ Combating vision care plan abuses that limit patient choice and drive up costs
✅ Ensuring veterans at VA hospitals receive the highest level of eye care
✅ Addressing flaws in Medicare Advantage plans that often leave patients with higher out-of-pocket costs
Optometrists are on the front lines of protecting vision and overall health—it’s vital that lawmakers hear how policy decisions impact patients every day.
