My Story

I am a DONA Certified Birth Doula and Reiki Master. In 2005, my husband & I moved to Keizer, Oregon from the North of England, realizing a dream that we had both had since we were young. We are now very proud parents to two amazing and very lively boys, Mitch & Henry. Please call or email for availability; (503) 559-7061 or fromtheheartdoulareiki@hotmail.com My passion is to help others, either during major life changing events, as their Birth Doula, or helping them to relax, reconnect & reconcile their mind, body & spirit as their Reiki practitioner. Serving as a birth doula within my community has been a desire that arose whilst I was a facilitator of the New Moms Connection group at Salem Hospital. It was also during this time period that I became aware of my natural ability of being an empath and intuitive. Tuning into these gifts led me to become a Reiki practitioner, completing all three levels by 2011. In 2014 I completed an intensive DONA Birth Doula Training Course at Mother Tree Birth Services in Portland and in 2016 I became DONA Certified. I am the local Postpartum Support International (PSI) Support Coordinator with Compass Perinatal Peer Support (www.compasspps.com), serving Marion & Polk Counties. At Compass we offer peer-to-peer support groups and a warmline for local families who are currently going through pregnancy or postpartum anxiety, depression or psychosis (PMAD).
