✨We are Excited to announce our Newest Addition to the Bella Vie Team; Alex!✨
Alexandria is a Staff Midwife, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), and Registered Nurse (RN).
A Portland native with deep N/NE roots, Alex’s path to midwifery has been guided by her lifelong commitment to compassionate service, health equity, and empowering families through informed, respectful care. Before becoming a midwife, she worked as both a Certified Nursing Assistant and Health Information Manager, where she developed a strong appreciation for continuity of care and dignified, patient-centered support.
She earned her BSN and DNP at Oregon Health & Science University, where she co-founded and served as the first President of the Black Student Nurses Umoja of OHSU, building community and mentorship for students of the African diaspora.
Alex has gained extensive clinical experience across OHSU, Legacy Medical Group, Adventist Health, and Hillsboro Medical Center, providing comprehensive antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care. Her capstone project, Mitigation of Nurse-Midwifery Burnout: A Mentorship Program Implementation Plan, highlights her dedication to supporting both patients and fellow providers.
In her practice, Alex is deeply committed to evidence-based, culturally attuned, and family-centered care, with a passion for advancing birth equity and serving underserved communities. She approaches every birth as a sacred experience and feels honored to walk beside families through one of life’s most transformative journeys.Outside of work, Alex loves pickleball, cooking with her partner and children, cheering on her favorite teams, and spending time with family and friends.
