Holiday cheer was in full swing at our Dhillon Healthcare Group Employee Appreciation celebration with Seva Hospice, CareOne Home Health, and Legacy Home Care Services. 💜🧡🤍

From festive indoor moments to an outdoor lunch with delicious food, sweet treats, and lots of laughter, it was a beautiful way to celebrate our incredible teams. ✨

A special highlight was spending time with our beloved pet therapy dog, Saige the Goldendoodle, who brought extra smiles, comfort, and joy to the day. 🌟

Seva Hospice invites you to our community grief support sessions in Modesto. These gatherings are open to anyone who is looking for comfort, connection, and gentle support during this season. ✨

Join us on Monday, December 8th and December 22nd at 3:30pm at Truewood by Merrill, Modesto located at 3420 Shawnee Dr, Modesto CA 95350. 💜

Our Seva Hospice family is feeling extra festive today. Just look at these overflowing toy barrels. Every single gift will be delivered to the Salvation Army to help bring joy to local children during their Family Day celebration. 🎄

A very special shoutout to our Medical Records rockstar Irene. She has been reminding our team, coordinating donations, and even shopping for those who wanted to contribute funds instead of selecting toys. Irene, you helped make this season brighter for so many families and we appreciate you. 💜

✨ Seva Hospice Tree Lighting Ceremony ✨

What a beautiful evening of remembrance, reflection, and community. Families joined together to honor the lives that continue to shine in our hearts. From the music and welcome to the reading of names to the glow of the Christmas tree filled with hand-placed cardinal ornaments, every moment was filled with love and meaning.

The cardinal holds a special place in modern folklore. It is believed to be a comforting messenger from a departed loved one, symbolizing their enduring presence and love. Cardinals often appear unexpectedly during times of grief, offering gentle reassurance that our loved ones are still near.

Thank you to everyone who attended, shared stories, placed ornaments, and supported one another. Your presence made the night truly special. May this season bring you peace, comfort, and tender light. ✨ 💜

Join us this evening for Seva Hospice’s Tree Lighting Ceremony from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Celebration Center Church, 945 McHenry Ave, Modesto, CA. 💜

We will provide personalized ornaments to honor loved ones, followed by a brief tree lighting ceremony and remarks. Light refreshments will be served as we gather in remembrance and community. ✨💜

The Dhillon Health Care Group was honored to support the Stanislaus Senior Foundation holiday fundraiser at the Oakdale Country Club. An idea from Jill Klajic Ryan sparked a group of community leaders to establish The Stanislaus Senior Foundation. ✨

Thank you Elizabeth Azlin with the help of Margie Palamino for bringing this beautiful foundation into existence. 💜

The holiday fundraiser began in 2011 and continues today under the dedicated leadership of current president Billie Scott. ✨

We were grateful to see Oakdale Mayor Cherilyn Bairos supporting this important mission for seniors in our community. 💜

The Philosophy of Seva

The word "Seva" is a Sanskrit word meaning service. However, it is more than just a simple desire to help others, "Seva” is actually composed of two words, “saha,” which means “with that,” and “eva,” which means “too.” Taken as a whole, the word “seva” means “together with” and describes the actions that seek collective uplifting through understanding the needs of others and are based on togetherness and integration. It is an expression of compassion for others and a genuine desire to help those around you.
