In response to community interest and requests for more supportive behavioral health and wellness options, CCPH has added a dedicated AcuDetox-only clinic hour on Tuesdays from 11:00 AM–12:00 PM at the Public Health office in Buena Vista (112 Linderman Avenue). This hour will be by appointment, you can call 719-539-4510 to schedule.
Walk-in AcuDetox sessions will still be available from 12:00–4:00 PM on Tuesdays, alongside other clinic services.
AcuDetox is a free service provided by CCPH, involving a simple five-point ear protocol designed to help reduce anxiety, stress, and cravings. It can help support people experiencing addiction, withdrawal symptoms, and sleep challenges. The process promotes calm, helps regulate the nervous system, and supports overall recovery and wellness.

This presentation introduces the role of an End-of-Life Doula, a trained companion who provides emotional, practical, and spiritual support to individuals and families during the dying process. Attendees will gain insight into how doulas complement medical and hospice care, helping to bring comfort, dignity, and meaning to end-of-life experiences. The session will also feature a panel of practicing End-of- Life Doulas who will share their perspectives and engage in an interactive discussion with participants.
