This month's Monterey County SELPA Community Advisory Committee meeting will feature a presentation on AAC. AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) uses tools and strategies like picture symbols, communication boards, and speech devices to help individuals communicate. This presentation is for families of children with speech or language challenges, autism, or developmental delays -- or anyone who is supporting their journey!

Join us for REACH Culinary! A fun cooking program where participants (children and young adults ages 10+) learn kitchen safety and basic cooking skills using tools like plastic knives, whisks, and rolling pins. Staff handle all stove and oven use. Everyone takes home their creation to share! 🍪

This session features a sweet menu that’s as fun to make as it is to eat!

This is a recreational (not therapy) program focused on social skill development. Participants must be able to engage safely in a group.

Special Kids Connect is thrilled to partner with Notre Dame High School for a new REACH Drama program this fall! This fun, inclusive, and supportive experience is designed to help participants express themselves, build confidence, and work together; all leading up to a live performance! Designed for homeschooled youth and young adults with special needs (ages 12 and up).
